26 April - 30 June 2013: Dry Wipe
Dry Wipe was an online exhibition, curated by Sleeping Upright that hijacked the public wi-fi at Nottingham Contemporary. Featuring all female artists, the online exhibition sat alongside 'The Universal Addressibility of Dumb Things' an exhibition curated by Mark Leckey, and explored modes of display via mass media and digital aesthetics, working with artists who navigate reality and investigate the production of meaning through the image and screen.
Each artist was invited to take over the homepage of both the Nottingham Contemporary's website via the WIFI login system and the Sleeping Upright website for approx one week each.

Dry Wipe also featured a commissioned essay by Rózsa Zita Farkas, Director & Curator at Arcadia Missa, London - Feminine Aesthetic as Feminist Aesthetic (Incorporation of the ‘Affectivity’ Sensibility) - available to view and download here.
